One Hundred Prints You Must Own

This is a celebration of my work and would not exist if I hadn’t quit drinking twenty years ago. What started as a hobby to fill my time became something more. I became engulfed by the process of my daily shoots, post edits, and online publishing. I built one of the largest single artist, online collections of photos of life in New York City, iphotonewyork.com

My fascination with publishing online led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree from City Tech in Brooklyn. That is where I learned to print on paper, and made my first book, “Shooting New York In The Raw”. Printing became my new obsession.

For this book I have selected images taken in unusual lighting, or bad weather, or through layers of glass and reflections. They all have something a little unexpected, something that might make you look twice. Through editing, I played with color, shadow, and focus to bring out new narratives and perspectives in each image. Some are playful, some a bit thought-provoking, some risqué, but all are meant to spark a connection. This is another of my love stories told in pictures.

I Photo New York Is Turning 20 Years Old!

I Photo New York is my ode to the New York City. It is a love story told in pictures.

I started the site in 2006 and you can say it is a relic of simpler times. But years ago I turned a hobby into an obsession, and like the postmen of lore, I walked and photographed my city in rain, snow , sleet, or storm for years on end. And then posted the pictures on theweblicist.
The site has thousands of pictures, all categorized and sorted. Chances are, if you are looking for something New York, you’ll find it here. It even has google maps, to enhance your visit.

iphotonewyork.com (aka theweblicist.com)

Just a handful of pictures from the site.
